WIZ Chemicals S.r.l. was founded in 1983, establishing itself as a pioneer in the development of release agents and lubricants for the plastics industry. The company now operates a 3,000 sqm production facility in Dairago, near Milan, and is one of Europe’s leading producers of chemical additives for impregnated decorative papers, chipboard, and MDF panels—serving the global furniture and laminates industries.

Under the registered brand “ALTON”, WIZ Chemicals delivers more than 9,000 tons of additives annually, with over 85% of its production exported worldwide. Their extensive product line covers: hardeners for MF, UF, and PF resins, wetting and release agents, plasticizers, anti-blocking and anti-dust agents, antimicrobial solutions, and surface improvers .

WIZ is among the few global manufacturers with full in-house capabilities to research, develop, and produce the complete range of additives required for the paper impregnation process. All products are chlorine-free, optimized for press performance, resin life, and finished surface quality.

The facility features advanced reactors with capacities from 300 to 18,000 liters in flameproof environments, alongside dispersion and paste refining lines, and pressurized systems for safe handling of toxic substances.

Certified with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, the company upholds rigorous quality and environmental standards. A new Microbiology Division now supports the food processing industry with GLP-compliant testing and processing aids, and is currently undergoing Ministry of Health accreditation.

In addition to wood and laminate applications, WIZ Chemicals also serves thermoplastic and thermoset molding sectors with tailored release agents, lubricants, cleaners, and mold sealers for injection, extrusion, and rotational molding.
